I haven't had a whole lot to blog about lately because, well, life is boring right now. This is intentional as I had to slow down the craziness that represents me in order to become as successful as I want to be. I don't know many people who actually sat down and said, "I Love Accounting with a Passion!!" That's me!! I think I will part my hair down the middle, rock some high water khakis with the pocket protector and tape the middle of my glasses!! That is the road that I am headed down!! But that is OK, though, because I have probably lived about 5 lives and it took all 5 to get to this point of peace.
When I was younger, I thought I was going to be involved in Football in some shape, form, or fashion. It didn't matter that I was 5'5 and a lineman. I just knew that was what I wanted to do. When reality kicked in, I then decided that I wanted to rap. With that decision, though, I had to ask myself a few questions: Knowing that I had 2 sisters, could I disrespect women like that? Do my pants sag enough? How would I look with gold teeth? Does fake gold turn your neck green? I have always thought (and still think to this day) that me rapping is an insult to my intelligence (No disrespect to other aspiring rappers out there). After a lot of soul searching, I realized that I had a love for numbers and a love for puzzles and mazes. You may be saying, "King of the Rodeo Clowns, what do they all have in common?" Simple, that is basically what Accounting is. It's one big puzzle full of mazes, numbers and surprises. It's up to you to figure it out and make sense of it all. Depending on what level of Accounting you choose, what you discover can either save a family a bunch of money during tax season, or a corporation millions of dollars which can be turned into profits later. Yeah, there is a lot of money to be made in the field but, to be honest, it's deeper than the money. Its the challenge of putting the puzzle together and seeing what it forms. Nerdy as hell? Damn right it is!!! Necessary to society? Yessir!! It is not glamorous work. But, from the classes I have taken, It is work that I love and that I am passionate about (umm, read the Passion Blog if you have any questions on passion! Yep).
I'm sorry if this blog is not as ridiculous as the ones in the past. But a) Its my blog, dammit!!! and b) Its like that sometimes!!! If every moment of your life is exciting, more power to ya!! If I blogged some of the stories of my life, you would think I was a) Awesome, b) A pervert and c) Out of my mind!!! I will keep it PG ....... for now!!!
