Role Models

Let me apologize in advance for the 1 day delay.  I've been studying as finals are coming up.  Plus I have been drawing a blank lately trying to come up with new ideas for a blog.  Like I say, I try to stay away from ridiculous topics and I keep it positive and, at times, silly.  I'll keep it quick and talk about role models.
I would hope that we all have people in our lives who inspire us to be better than average.  Go the extra mile!! Be all you can be!! Insert your own cliche here!! Seriously, how do expect to be a hard worker if you have no real examples in front of you? Its like a virgin trying to be a porn star! Someone has to show you how it's done!!
I have been blessed to have many examples in front of me. My family members, from the Dome Ranger, a.k.a. my father, to my sisters,  have all inspired me in their own way.  My nephew, who is younger than me, serves as an definite example of what hard work can bring.  I watched my boy J (nicknames will be referenced to protect the guilty) go from a party loving enemy of sobriety to a college graduate/paralegal/super conscious individual who, after a 5 minute conversation, will make you rethink your life plans.  I guess watching all of these people make moves toward reaching their goals gets me thinking to myself: Umm 5head, lets get a move on!!!
There were many years where I lived very reckless.  All I wanted to do was party, play with lady parts and sleep.  Now, as I get older, I realize that I have a lot of influence over people.  There are folks that (gulp!) actually might be inspired by my moves and success.  It wouldn't be fair to them if I give less than 110%.  I'll sum it up with 2 points: 1).  You are never too old to be inspired, and 2). You are never too old to inspire.  If you remember that, meeting your goals and expectations will be a breeze!!!!
