Commitment!

    I haven't been blogging as much as I was at the beginning of the year for two reasons. 1.) I'm working, studying and just living life minus the Internet. 2.) I haven't been moved to write in a little bit.  That changed recently after a quick fling that I had with this young lady who, after a few weeks of good times, tells me that she has had a boyfriend for the past 4 years and would like to continue "seeing" me on the side. In my mind, the Dog in me yelled, "Self High-Five!! Killing em in these skreets (streets for the ebonically challenged)!" But after thinking about it, one question came to mind: What the hell ever happened to commitment!?!  More than ever, people are looking for an easy way out of a situation rather than seeing it through the bloody end. If your relationship isn't working, rather than working on it, you complain about it on Facebook and go cheat at a bar.  If school work becomes more difficult, you drop out instead of getting help. You start a goal but don't finish it because it got too hard!!! Its getting more and more ridiculous!!!!
   People need to realize that the fun is in the journey!!! Sure, there will be tough times!! You may even want to quit!! But I would challenge anyone to stay committed to whatever goal or expectation they set for themselves.   I guarantee you will not only be happy with the outcome, but you will enjoy the experience!! I have said all of that to say these three words: Commit! Don't quit!!
   Oh Yeah!!!!  Do not think that I forgot about the Challenge that I had laid out for everyone a few months ago!! In the beginning, I received messages from people letting me know about their progress and how they were ready for a change!! About a month later, those messages stopped coming in!!  If you are reading this, don't stop!! Remain committed and continue on your journey!! The magic will happen sooner than you think!!!
    As for this young lady, I told her that she should try to work it out with this dude and, if it doesn't work, at least you tried.......... and I'll keep the backdoor open for ya!!!! S.W.A.G.!!!!!
